CCS provides funds for medical care, accommodations, and travel expenses to make it possible for families in need to obtain the necessary care for their children and to be with them when out of town hospitalization and treatment is required.
100% of the profits from Childhood Cancer Society are used to help families help themselves. This organization supports children in New York and New jersey at this time, but is looking to expand it's reach. Check back to watch their progress over the coming months, or to make a donation to help them broaden their impact.
The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp provides year-round programming, offering an outstanding summer camp experience for more than 1,000 seriously ill children, as well as 24 weekend programs from fall through spring for approximately 3,000 campers, along with their families and caregivers. The Camp’s year-round Hospital Outreach Program brings the hopeful and playful spirit of Camp to seriously ill hospitalized children, providing services to approximately 11,000 children in sixteen hospitals from New York to Boston each year. Altogether, the Camp serves more than 15,000 children annually. Best of all – all of the Camp’s services are free of charge, thanks to the generosity of many caring friends and supporters.
Camp Sunshine supports children with life threatening illnesses and their families. The camp has the distinction of being the only program in the nation whose mission is to address the impact of a life threatening illness on every member of the immediate family—the ill child, the parents, and the siblings. Since its inception, Camp Sunshine has provided a haven for over 30,000 individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.
Families with a child diagnosed with diseases such as cancer, kidney disease, lupus, solid organ transplants, and other life threatening illnesses attend one of the week-long camps. Our focus is on alleviating the strain that a life threatening illness takes not only on the sick child but also on other family members. Families have an opportunity to rebuild their relationships together and meet other families facing similar challenges.

Hatch’s House of Hope integrates the specific needs of families dealing with the effects of pediatric cancer, with hospital-based as well as community-based services. The staff works to provide services that are not provided anywhere else – services that are needed to help affected children and their families function within our communities. Specifically, these include IEP Neurocognitive testing; educational programming to help affected children overcome their cognitive and learning deficits; emotional counseling for the cancer-affected child, their siblings and parents; and marital and financial counseling to ensure a safe environment in order to maximize family growth as a whole.
Andrew's Helpful Hands Foundation is helping families going through Bone Marrow Transplant. We will allow parents to focus on their child during recovery. The process of going through a Bone Marrow Transplant has many facades. If a donor is needed, we help you organize a Bone Marrow Drive. If finances are needed, we help you with fundraisers, benefits, raffles, etc. If you just need a helping hand, give us a call at (978)567-0842 because whatever you need during this period, we are here to be helpful.
American Childhood Cancer Organization ( ACCO ) began in 1970 by a group of parents whose children had been diagnosed with cancer. They came together to lobby for more research, and to support each other through the diagnosis and treatment of this life threatening disease at a time when very few children survived. Today, ACCO is one of the largest grassroots, national organizations dedicated to improving the lives of children and adolescents with cancer and their families.
The National Marrow Donor Program® (NMDP) and our Be The Match Foundation® are nonprofit organizations dedicated to creating an opportunity for all patients to receive the bone marrow or umbilical cord blood transplant they need, when they need it.
Every year, thousands of people of all ages are diagnosed with leukemia and other life-threatening diseases. Many of them will die unless they get a bone marrow or cord blood transplant from a matching donor. Seventy percent of people do not have a donor in their family and depend on our Be The Match Registry® to find a match to save their life.
